About Los Gigantes
Los Gigantes takes its name from the 'giants' — basalt cliffs up to 600 metres that the Guanches believed were sacred. The town itself is small and relaxed: a marina, a natural rock pool, and streets that climb steeply above the harbour. This side of the island gets the best sunsets and, often, the best weather when the south is windy.
The drive from the airport
From Tenerife South the route climbs the west coast via the TF-1 and TF-47 — about 50 minutes of coastal road with the cliffs appearing long before you arrive. It is one of the most scenic transfers we operate, and guests often ask the driver to slow down for photos.
